Milton Falls drops straight down a mossy rock face into a still, dark pool, the forest so dense around it that the whole scene feels tucked away from the world — which, after the hike to get here, it essentially is. Ferns catch what light filters through the canopy, the falls reflect in the water below, and a small shelter at the left edge of the frame is the only sign anyone has been here before you.

It's a moody image, deliberately so. The light is soft, the greens are deep, and the falls themselves glow almost white against the dark rock. Syndicate Falls doesn't get the same attention as Emerald Pool or Victoria Falls, which is part of what makes it worth the effort.

Yuri A. Jones

Yuri A. Jones is a Dominican photographer based in the U.S., whose work is deeply tied to the island he grew up on. He shoots nature, landscapes, aerials, and cultural scenes; the waterfalls, forests, coastlines, mountains, and everyday Caribbean moments that most people walk past without stopping. Before photography, he spent years working in finance. He left that behind to build something closer to what he actually cared about.

Does the art arrive ready to hang?

Framed prints arrive fully assembled with hanging hardware included. Unframed prints are rolled in protective tubes.
