Ordering
How do I place an order?
Find the artwork you love, choose your print type, size, and frame option if available, then add it to your cart and check out. It's straightforward — and if you get stuck at any point, we're happy to help.
Will my print be made just for me?
Yes. Every print is made to order after you purchase. That means your artwork is produced specifically for you — not pulled from a shelf. It takes a little more time, but the result is a print made with care rather than mass-produced in advance.
I placed my order but need to change something. Is it too late?
Contact us as soon as possible. Because production begins shortly after your order is placed, we can't guarantee changes.
But if you reach out to us within 12 hours of placing the order, we'll do everything we can. If you've spotted a mistake in your address, size, or frame selection, don't wait.
Will there be a price tag or receipt inside the package?
No. Nothing with pricing is included inside the package, so your order arrives ready to give as a gift if that's what you have in mind.
Alternatively, you could give the lucky person one of our Gift Cards so they're able to choose the artwork themselves.
What payment methods do you accept?
All available payment options are shown at checkout. What's available may vary slightly depending on your location, but you can bet on PayPal and all major credit/debit cards.
Prints & Framing
What's the difference between all the print types? I'm not sure which one is right for me.
There are four options, and the right one depends on how you want the artwork to feel in your space:
Art Print — Printed on high-quality paper. Clean, classic, and refined. A strong choice if you want a gallery-style look, especially when framed.
Canvas Print — Printed on canvas, giving the artwork more texture and warmth. Works well if you want the piece to feel substantial and relaxed rather than formal.
Framed Art Print — The paper print, already framed and ready to hang. Polished and finished, with no extra work on your end.
Framed Canvas Print — The canvas print with a frame. More visual depth and texture than the framed paper print, while still looking elevated and complete.
For more information about the prints, check out Printing & Framing.
I'm worried the print won't look the same as on screen. What should I know?
Screens display colors differently from printed artwork, and every monitor is calibrated differently.
We work with quality production partners to ensure prints are reproduced faithfully, but slight variations in color and tone are normal and part of what makes a physical print feel different — and often more alive — than a screen image.
Do the framed prints actually arrive ready to hang, or will I need to do a lot of setup?
Framed prints are designed to arrive ready for display. Exact hanging hardware may vary by product, but you should be able to get it on the wall without much fuss.
If you have specific questions about a product, feel free to ask before ordering.
Can I frame the print myself instead?
Absolutely. If you already have a frame in mind or want more control over the final look, choose an unframed art print and frame it yourself. Standard sizes are designed to fit widely available frames.
The frame options on the product page are limited. Can I request something different?
If you have a customization request, please contact us via email. We can't guarantee that we'll be able to fulfill that request, but we'll do our best.
Sizing & Display
I'm not sure what size to order. What if I get it wrong?
Start with the wall and the furniture around it. Smaller prints work well on shelves, narrow walls, and in grouped displays. Larger prints tend to work best above sofas, beds, consoles, and dining areas where you want the artwork to anchor the space.
If you're unsure, send us a photo of your wall and we'll help you think it through before you order — it's much easier than returning something that doesn't fit.
Each of our prints has a "Compare all sizes" tool on the page that allows you to see the different print sizes in context. Check that out too.
What size works best above a sofa, bed, or console?
For wide furniture, a medium to large piece usually works best. The artwork should feel visually connected to what's below it — not floating too small on the wall. As a general guide, aim for artwork that spans roughly two thirds of the width of the furniture beneath it.
Should I choose vertical, horizontal, or square?
Vertical works well on narrow walls, in entryways, hallways, corners, and spaces between furniture. Horizontal works best above wide furniture like sofas, beds, consoles, and dining tables. Square is versatile and works in most rooms when you want something balanced and contemporary.
I want to buy multiple pieces for the same room but I'm worried they won't work together.
It's a common concern and an easy one to solve. You can pair artwork by color, mood, subject, or format.
If you'd like a second opinion before ordering, send us a photo of your space and the pieces you're considering — we'll tell you honestly whether they work together.
Shipping
How much does shipping cost?
Nothing. Shipping is free on all Lavi Dou Gallery prints, everywhere.
How long will it actually take to arrive?
Because each print is made to order, there's production time before it ships. Once it's on its way, estimated delivery times are:
- USA and Canada: 4–6 business days
- Europe and UK: 3–5 business days
- Australia: 4–14 business days
- Japan: 6–8 business days
- International: 10–20 business days
These are estimates. Production timing, customs processing, and local delivery conditions can all affect the final timeline.
Will I be able to track my order?
Yes. Once your order ships, you'll receive tracking information so you can follow its progress.
I'm outside the USA. Will you ship to me?
Yes, we ship internationally to most locations. If you're unsure whether we deliver to your country, contact us before ordering.
Will I be charged customs fees or import taxes on delivery?
Customs fees and import taxes vary by country and are determined by local authorities — not by us. If any charges apply upon delivery, they are the responsibility of the customer. We recommend checking your country's import rules for printed goods if this is a concern.
My order seems to be taking longer than expected. What's going on?
Delays can happen for a number of reasons — production timing, carrier issues, customs processing, or local delivery conditions. If your order seems unusually delayed, contact us and we'll look into it with you.
My tracking says delivered but I haven't received anything.
First, check around your delivery area — with other household members, building reception, or nearby neighbors. If it still can't be located, contact us right away and we'll help you investigate.
Returns & Damages
What if I change my mind after the print arrives?
We accept return requests within 14 days of delivery. To be eligible, the print must be unused, undamaged, and in its original packaging. Contact us before sending anything back and we'll walk you through it. Approved returns include free return shipping and no restocking fee.
My artwork arrived damaged. What do I do?
Please don't send it back yet — contact us first. Email us with your order number and clear photos of the artwork, the damaged area, and both the inside and outside of the packaging. Photos of the packaging are important because they help us understand what happened in transit. We'll take it from there.
My order arrived but it's the wrong print, wrong size, or wrong format.
Contact us immediately at with your order number and photos. We'll sort it out. You should not have to pay for a mistake on our end.
Can I exchange my print for a different size or format?
Contact us and we'll review your situation. Because prints are made to order, exchanges depend on whether the item is eligible under our return policy, but we'll always try to find a solution that works for you.
Gift Cards
I want to give art as a gift but I'm not sure which piece they'll love. Do you offer gift cards?
Yes. Lavi Dou Gallery gift cards let someone you care about choose the piece that speaks to them. It's a thoughtful way to give art without guessing.
How is the gift card delivered?
Gift cards are delivered digitally, so there's nothing to post and nothing to wait for. You can send one instantly.
Do the gift cards expire?
No. Lavi Dou Gallery gift cards do not expire.
Can a gift card be refunded?
Gift cards are generally non-refundable. If there's an issue with your gift card purchase, contact us and we'll review the situation.
Artists & Artwork
What kind of artwork does Lavi Dou Gallery feature?
The gallery features artwork inspired by beauty, place, culture, nature, and the feeling of life well lived. There's a special connection to Dominica and the Caribbean — warm, meaningful work selected to bring visual presence and a sense of place into real spaces.
What does "Lavi Dou" mean?
It means "Life Sweet" — a Creole expression that captures something simple and true about Caribbean life and spirit. It reflects what the gallery is about: artwork that brings beauty and a feeling of home into everyday spaces.
Are the prints limited edition? Will I miss out if I wait?
Most prints in the gallery are open edition, meaning they're not limited to a fixed number of copies. Where a print is limited edition, that will be clearly stated on the product page. If you see something you love, it's always worth moving on it — but you won't be pressured by artificial scarcity.
Are the prints signed or numbered?
Whether a print is signed or numbered will be stated on the product page. If the page doesn't mention it, you can assume the print is not signed or numbered.
Trade & Hospitality
I'm an interior designer or decorator sourcing artwork for a project. Can you help?
Yes. We work with designers, decorators, offices, villas, hotels, restaurants, and other hospitality spaces. Get in touch at with details about your project — the space, timeline, and the kind of artwork you're looking for — and we'll take it from there.
Can you help me choose artwork for a commercial or hospitality space?
Yes. We can help suggest artwork by mood, room type, subject, color palette, or format. We're happy to be a useful sounding board for your project.
Do you offer bulk or project pricing?
For larger projects, contact us with your requirements and we'll review what's possible.
