Derek Galon

Derek Galon, FRPS is an internationally acclaimed fine-art photographer and filmmaker whose work bridges classical artistic reverence with modern technical mastery. Born in Europe and having spent nearly three decades in Canada before relocating to the lush topography of Dominica, Galon’s creative foundation spans over 40 years of cross-disciplinary mastery in music, fine art, and photography.

As a recipient of the prestigious Fellowship of the Royal Photographic Society (UK)—an honor held by a rare, elite percentage of photographers worldwide—Galon has claimed dozens of international awards and frequently serves on elite global jury commissions. While his commercial career includes capturing ultra-luxury architectural landmarks and pristine natural landscapes for international media, his true devotion lies in creative fine art, masterworks, and evocative figurative photography.
