My work is rooted in the emotional and physical landscapes of the Caribbean. I paint the spaces that have shaped me. Through acrylic, oil, and mixed media, I explore the relationship between physical place and emotions, using color and texture to reveal the energies that live beneath ordinary scenes.
Growing up in the Caribbean taught me that space is never empty, it is layered with rhythm, memory, ancestors, and stories that move like water. My palette draws from the blues of migration, the reds of resistance, the greens of fertile land, and the warm tones of home. These colors help me translate the unseen; emotion, spirit, heritage, into visual form.
I approach painting as ritual, grounding myself in intuition, breath, and the slow layering of pigment. Many of my pieces explore the sacredness of women’s inner worlds, the resilience carried through generations, and the soft power that lives in Caribbean bodies. I am interested in how landscapes hold memory, and how identity is shaped by what we inherit and what we heal.
My work seeks to honor the Caribbean as both a physical region and a spiritual dimension. Each painting is an offering, a conversation between color and silence, ancestry and imagination, past and possibility. Through my art, I hope to create spaces where viewers can feel rooted, reflective, and connected to the deeper stories that shape who we are.
